Searider + A Frame
I have bought a boat (1996 SR5.4m Com Rescue) and am doing it all up the way I want.
I don't collect the boat for 2 more weeks, but would like to get an a frame manufactured whilst I wait.
Could you tell me what width the a frame / transom is and also what the ideal height of the apex of the frame is?
Thanks
Alan

I'd wait til it arrives-being the ex commercial rescue model it may have mounting holes/bolts already there for the self-righting A-frame. These will be more than adequate for what you want to mount but won't be a lot of good if they don't line up.
Congratulations on buying a really good boat

Sounds good
How much fuel are you going to be able to carry?

You sure that'll give you enough spare?
I used more than that in the Solent a couple of weeks back.

Yellowmitch,
I wish I'd had a RIB for blasting around Benouin Sands, a fantastic and stunning beach, had some fun driving along it I can tell you. What a fantastic area to boat in and its one that we don't see many pictures of on here. Any chance you can post some when you get up and running ?

Matt,
I don't think thats a massive distance. Minimum could be 15 miles. Civilisation could be more. But tank wise he should be okay. Lucky devil sort of cruise I would like to do.

Where about in Scotland Exactly? ballycastle to Largs is 78 nm - my 150 burned 80 ltrs, doing this journey, If you buy the 2 stroke I would like to see if all the hype re consumption being as good is true
If you do have a go (the Mull can get fairly hefty) let me know. you could pop in and see the Grocer (and Granville) at the bottom of Arran,he threatened to make tea the last time I was down....

Oi! What's happened to the grand RNLI tour?
Forecast for the next week is not unreasonable- anyone up for a gathering on, say, Wednesday afternoon? (Our staff are now better than we are - not difficult!)
How about - meet at a point mid-Clyde, wander off to an island for a cuppa, then all toddle off home?
(Can't do Tuesday - secret Post Office meeting ; Thursday's re-stock day.)

Yup, July was suggested; but as we've just had some Xmas catalogues in I thought we'd better get a move on...
Mid-Clyde. <Thinks> Got a chart? 5nm W of Ardrossan is a hill. It's 38m under you. Found it? From there, who knows? Lochranza OK, Skipness?
Thread hi-jack alert - I'll start a new one in the appropriate place.
