Loving watching these.
Easy to sit here and criticise, but there did look like quite sandy parts to that beach.
Best of luck to them, cant wait for the next bit.

Just discovered this guys channel yesterday. Have spent most last night and today watching the videos - they're fantastic. Two of my bucket list adventures right there: take my Searider around the UK and covert a commercial vessel into a floating holiday!!

I was fully expecting them to mine the foam and discover that was all that was keeping the water out.

Lovely to see the Dungeness to Eastbourne stretch, that’s my local boating area for many years and pulled up on that same beach a few times, hell of a lot easier in a SIB!
There’s a long way to go and a lot more potential upsets big time on his trip. Not sure what happened with the Peli’s unless he didn’t shutl them right. Mine has never leaked in hours at sea. Having said that dunking or even taking a DSLR on a RIB is not the greatest idea...

Really enjoyed the first episode. Does anyone know if he is still on the trip or is it done an dusted and he is just uploading the videos now? It would be good to know when he is passing so I could accompany him in my 4m Searider for an hour or so.

Wow... really enjoyed skimming through his videos and watched the round Britain pt.1 in full. Likeable guy and easy to watch/nicely edited.
But... I'm not sure if my wow is at his amazing spirit of adventure... or the seeming total lack of understanding re the kit/skill needs for such a trip in a 4m craft.
To thump the boat up the pebble beach, trash your cameras, burst a beach roller and snap a blade off the prop... all in one stop off.... takes some doing.
He did say in the commentary Max... hadn't closed the camera case!
I see on his Instagram that beaching event was some 6 weeks ago so there must be more video in the pipeline... or perhaps it got a bit late in the year.

Well, those final conditions are pretty much par for the course on that stretch 3/4 of the time, nothing to what could come as he ventures further clockwise.
Like you, love the spirit but prep/gear/crew/passage planning leaves a *huge* amount open to the Gods! Not to mention the state of his spine after hours in those seats...
A great watch though - I've often wanted to do just the reverse of his first leg - Hastings/Bexhill round Dover to the Thames Estuary and into London in one hit but chapeau to the guy for getting on with it.
It reminds of my favourite 'round coast' series with one of my fave actors and all round 'bloke you'd love to have a drink with' Timothy Spall - a hugely enjoyable watch:

1700 miles in a tiny speedboat..
Not what I’d call a speedboat and as it’s got a solid bit underneath it isn’t a SIB so it must belong here! Apologies if anyone else posted, looks interesting! https://youtu.be/E8ECm7k1jzY

Yaba's post prompted me to look about re next leg. Harry Dwyer's Instagram has the latest comment from him just an hour ago that says part 2 soon... not sure if he means the actual seafaring or the video.

Could’ve been titled going to sea in a jumper. Seems to be very prepared in some ways and not so much in others.. does the RNLI appear in the next episode? [emoji897]
