Seats: save me from making a mistake

I've been trying very unsuccessfully to find a bench type seat for the back of my Humber ocean pro.

Now I know I really should use GRP but my jockey Seats were 450 each and I CANT find any producer for a GRP bench/box with a cover.

Sooo I'm thinking of getting a piece of ply covered to fit over one of these:

I know it'll rust but for these prices I'd plan to throw it away after 3 years.

Can you let me know your thoughts: will it work?

Or possibly suggest a "proper" company that won't break the bank?

Adam and Hayley, nice boat as I have seen it in the flesh. Have you tried the following

1.) Have you contacted humber Paul on this forum as he has an ocean pro in the area which has a bench seat (can't remember if it was factory or custom made)
2.) Ask Jaymetal on ebay to give you a quote for stainless frame for the bench seat and you could make the cushions yourself

How about a cooler?

I was in a similar position looking for inexpensive seating for my SR4 and eventually went for an Igloo cooler. Ok, mine is about 70cm wide but they go up to all sizes, have optional foam cushion seats, fixing kits. They are lightweight and you also have waterproof storage/cool storage.

The funny thing is the cooler itself was £45 but the cushion was an extra £55. The fixing kit (four small plastic corners with screws and straps) comes to £50ish!!! I didn't bother with fixing kit, just used existing mounts on the deck.
