Seawork 2022
Anyone at Seawork this week?
I'm planning on going down Thursday morning for a couple of hours but have been told parking was a nightmare yesterday because West Quay car park was full as there are very few trains into Southampton.

Not going this year, been a couple of times pre-covid & really enjoyed it. Like a boat show without the numpties. The freebies are better quality too[emoji6]

think you may find there was a strike on railways yesterday, so may account for lack of trains.

I cheated yesterday and went by boat and parked for free on the Ribcraft pontoon. Only for ten minutes though for a quick chat with the lads.

I was there yesterday. I managed to park right next door on Town Quay. It was very hot inside, but lovely outside!

Thanks guys, I'm going to head down when the traffic has had a chance to calm down and take my chances parking.

I've been today. Parking was OK
kicks.fully.petal had a few spaces but if you are planning on being there less than four hours, there is quite a lot of roadside parking in the immediate vicinity.
I was a bit underwhelmed by the boats and very nearly overwhelmed by the temperatures in the exhibition halls. It made looking round the halls unpleasant although there was a fair bit of interesting stuff to look at.

Thanks GuyC
I normally park in West Quay and walk down, or sometimes in the carpark next to the hotel that the SBS entrance etc is normally on.
I like it as a show and go every year - when it's on of course - there's some really interesting stuff there, and no big white pointy boats.

Seawork 2023
I went to Seawork yesterday. It was a good show albeit probably slightly quieter than previous years. The trade stands were good and the staff manning the stands are always happy to talk.
Whilst they had improved the ventilation since last year, the heatwave we are having at the moment made it uncomfortably hot in the afternoon.

Glad you enjoyed it GuyC.
It's a great show due to the lack of big White Pointy boats and because there are no Ribs sporting White upholstery with Blue piping.
Disappointingly it's the first year I've not been in ages as I usually enjoy it.
I'm not completely mobile yet whilst still recovering from a Motorcycle accident, and just couldn't face limping round the show in the heat.
