Selva 342gt

Hi all,

New here and looking for some buying advice please?

I’m looking at a 2016/2017 selva 342gt with a 20hp selva. Comes with a trailer.

The boat is described as ‘as new’ as is apparently ex display.

They are asking 9k

Any good?

Good point Orwell Boy! Thanks.
I am looking for something small I can ideally keep in a parking space and use on the thames (I live in Putney) and perhaps the chichester estury. Just 2 people on board.
I was also looking for a gauge on the price, if it seems reasonable?
Thanks!

Ok ,pleased i didnt offend ! , i think in this catorgary of boat there is a need to read several posts on here from Fenlander ,and see the Gurnards adventures ,it shows you whats achievable in small ribs /sibs
,from my point of view it may just look like a financial and practicality choice ,ie do you drop in for the 9k ,when 5 will poss get similar without the frills ,so is it the adventure or the pose ?
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Mercury-O...EAAOSwgO9fBLvl
maybe like this may be a good comparison ? or maybe not ! is a parking space a good possibility in putney or would a blow up sib in the boot be a better option ?
to be honest i must walk from this discussion and hope one or two of the smaller boat specialists take on your need ,small boat on the thames may be a bit ambitious for a suffolk farm boy .

Selva 342gt

Not sure you’ll get much first hand knowledge of the Selva line on here.

Looks like that package new with a 20hp motor lists at around £14500 without trailer. So if it’s a new ex display model with all warranties intact then perhaps an ok price....included road trailer is worth £1000 new. Hypalon toobs to boot.

All depends if you’re after a luxury ‘med style’ tender for two. If so, just the biz. [emoji106]

Kind of you to mention me OB but while I'm all over SIBs and sub 4m tiller steer lightweight RIBs the Monte Carlo style small RIB is outside my experience. And that's where a lot of the asking price is going on the Selva... a design more suited to a quick taxi from 35+ft craft to yacht club pontoon.

Selva never hold the reputation/value of the more mainstream makers so use caution sinking loads into such an outfit.

If I wanted small RIB on a budget this would be as much fun...

And if I wanted to get rid of near on £10k chucking a new trailer under this new outfit would be my preference...
