If it is the one I've seen it is for gearcase potentially falling off and exhausts becoming loose on all g2s made in a 2 month period or so, it was a while back I seen this so I assume they have all been fixed by now.
Etec owners probably has the info or maybe there is a service bulletin, I either seen it in a mag or tht?

Thats the one
Which models are affected by the safety recall?
Certain Evinrude® E-TEC® G2 150-300 HP outboard models, built in June or July of 2017
What is the potential problem?
The nuts on the gearcase, and on the exhaust housing extension (if applicable), may become loose, allowing the gearcase assembly to detach from the outboard engine. In some circumstances, this situation may initiate an abrupt change in direction and loss of steering, which could cause serious injury or even death.
Could be fun!

I wonder if this is related to what caused a g2 boat to go wrong a while back, article here...note the life jackets failed too on both people. I think they safety recalled some g2s for steering checks about 18 months ago ish after this.

I’ve just had a look at the quote for the 545, the estimated ex works dry weight of hull, engine & A frame is 912kg. Add a pair of Ullmans, 2 batteries, 180l fuel, anchor and all the other gubbins & I’m surprised its only 1300kg[emoji15]

Yea when I got back and checked I got over 800kgs for the bare rib ,OB,fuel. Full tank is 132 kgs! Must confess forgot about the other important things as you mentioned. It’s amazing how it all tots up. And to think I used to haul all on an unbraked trailer!!

True[emoji106] I reckon there’re a lot of folks out there who’d get a nasty surprise if they visited a weighbridge, I did. It always makes me smile when you get someone stating, that they’ve worked out their boat weighs 700kg, & is it ok to to tow it with a Ford Ka on an unbraked trailer on a non B+E licence. Or such like[emoji85]

Shearwater Cutter 6.8
Picked Duma up Friday and not a bad day weather wise today to get some work done. New shocks fitted to the front jockey Fox Float 3 from Scot Seats replacing the old Hagon shocks. Drivers stripped in half the time now I know how they are assembled. Corrosion sorted on the nav lights but started to get a bit pi??ed until I found a new bulb was dud. Need to get a couple of holes drilled and the the drivers jockey can be rebuilt. Off to Dulas next weekend to drop Duma off for the new engine[emoji16][emoji16][emoji16]

I've only used my rib about 4x since I got the seats fitted...life in the way!
Couldn't get out today, weather was absolutely amazing too....maybe tomorrow.

That’s good news. Looking forward to trying them out. What pressure do you run at. Scots suggested 30 psi.

I found 30psi quite stiff and lowered . Depends on weight , sea etc
Interesting is they do not bottom out ..
You never feel that they reach your the end of their travel

Thanks guys reference the pressure. That's really useful.
New foam for the cushions would be nice but that will be next years project with a reupholster if all goes to plan

What is the reason to change the foam of the Scots ?
If I remember right Duma had the small/narrow seats installed .
Are you replacing them with the wider seats ?
I find them way more comfortable than the narrow version .

No room for wider seat, the new foam is just more comfortable apparently.

-- also your "rear end" isn't as big as Bushrider's so you'll probably be OK with the narrow ones. Jurgen (Bushrider) needed the Fat Max option!
