Signal K

Any of you have any experience with Signal K?

I bought the following:

iKommunicate | The Gateway to Signal K

Which I believe will convert my NMEA 2000 info into Signal K.

I then bought the following wireless modem to send it to my tablet:

Anyone else used this technology?

I've read a bit about it but felt it was more for lager boats where you might want to share data with various non-marine devices. A good idea but can get rather technical when trying to get all items to communicate properly.

LOL, funnily enough I bought all the stuff off some dude on eBay who gave up trying to figure it out. Bought it for a song. Luckily I have a lot of patience.

I figured if it wasn't great for displaying my engine data, I will put it on my new sailboat which has a lot more nmea electronics.
