Silver Beach, Isle of Wight

One of the weekend supplements lists the top 50 Beaches.

Among them was Silver Beach on the Isle of Wight. They said it was near Bembridge.

I have never heard of it and can't find it on any map.

Does it exist, is it as good as they say and is it worth going there on the rib?

We know this part of the Island very well and have never heard of Silver Beach. I think it may be the beach to the south of Bembridge Harbour entrance. A water-sports outfit run kite-surfing courses from Silver Beach and the instructions to get to them bear this out.

Which supplement did you read about it in?

Have just spoken to a mate in Bembridge who confirms that it is the beach to the south side of the entrance to Bembridge Harbour.

Below the words "Bembridge Point" on the map.

Hope this helps.
