I got my jockey seat cushion back from Scotseat where they replaced the padding with rolled skydex. Comparing to my other seats this one is harder and going over a few wakes yesterday you could feel the difference - a softer ride. I will of course wait and see what others have to say especially Mrs A who like to sit most of the time.
I had my deck done in artificial teak deking product, it seemed to add a bit of a cushioning effect, decent marine boots and padded sports socks helps also. I think for a really long journey some form of matting would also be beneficial just around the console deck areas.
I use machinists comfort matting, Makro had them in recently 900x1200 for about £25

The SKYDEX was put on the deck today and it looks good and feels good. What more a matching colour with the rib. First testing on the water this coming Saturday and then speed@seawork
I ditched deck shoes and preferred wearing some old walking trainers which had more cushioning. I also considered Croc's or a cheaper imitation. What caused me pain was being stood astride a jockey seat which pushed my feet unnaturally far apart and created an odd angle between my foot and my ankle.
It's a Pac 22 and the seat base is around 400mm wide so that may have exacerbated the situation but one fix was to make some wedges up that glued on to the deck and re-aligned my foot and ankle. Another solution was to buy some 'cheap' suspension seats and that is the route I've gone down.
Skydex works for me as I stand nearly all the time and my jockey seat have just the right width . My twin stern drive engines do create some vibrations via the deck and the Skydex flooring reduces this feeling. For those who sit all the time then shock mitigation seats are the answer
Mrs A approved of the Skydex filled seat cushion . It has the feeling of a harder seat then our existing ones but takes the shocks.
