Small Ribs: Which one?

I have a 25hp 2 stroke 2006 tohatsu outboard. It is on a 4m honwave at the moment (SIB) and i just feel like i am limiting the speed and the performance. Tell me if i am wrong! I am looking into getting a rib. I was looking at the wetline 350 rib. What other brands are there and what should i expect to pay for a reasonably conditioned one?

Henry

RIBase
why not buy a 4m rib to replace the 4m sib. I am sure the searider fetish club that exists on this forum shall be able to provide you with good advice

RIBase
If you want to keep your 25 HP outboard, a 3.50 RIB or maybe a 4m RIB with a shallow V should work better than your HonWave, if you want to sell the whole hog, and buy a new motor & boat I'd go for a 4m one, Espeically the Searider 4m

Once you get to 4m ribs you're into long shaft engine .....even the shallow v boats...

3.5 ribs you will find are mostly short I think.

If that's a 2 stroke 25 HP Tohatsu engine you could pass it into a 30 HP for peanuts cost, on larger ribs even though have shallow hulls are designed to work with long shaft engines. Had to chop my 420 rib's transom down 2" to make a perfect short shaft engine rib match. A larger rib will peform much better with a 25/30 HP than a shorter one.

Happy Boating
