Snakes On A Boat!!!!!!
Just lauching a customer's Rib today - removed the console cover and found this!
As the customer is not too keen on snakes it's a good job we found it before he set off accross The Solent.

Where it came from is a mystery as the boat was stored Dry Stacked off the ground??? Thought maybe a bird might have picked it up and dropped it?
We thought it might be a Louisianan Milk snake as its head is quite a bit smaller than its body!
It's currently in a box (well it was last time I chacked) awaiting the RSPCA.

It's a Pueblan Milk Snake, might have been a pet so I would suggest contacting previous owner or perhaps people around the area where the boat was stored. Hope you captured it. Would make a good South Today story.
Eats mice etc.

headline - SNAKE SEAKS SHELTER IN RIB .
Of course what sort of RIB is the key here ? Was it going for PVC or hypalon, 2stroke or 4stroke ? etc etc.
Probably a few degrees warmer sat under the cover, but still going to give you a shock mid Solent.
Defo one for the news - no pubility is bad publicity especially when its free !

So all those rats legging it down the pontoons were nothing to do with a sinking ship after all?

Looks like a Ballistic. We do supply a lot of extras as standard with our RIBs, but snakes are not included in the 'package price.'

Only one snake related punn (from Telcowilliam)! Very poor show.
Yes JBT, it was a Ballistic - should have been a "Cobra" though!

A Krait, surely?
A Cobra or Vipermax might seem more appropriate, but stripes on the seats is more a Ballistic thing. I thought it was a nice Adderition to the colour scheme. However, I bet the owner would have given you no fangs for it.

Definitely a milk snake-I've got one about that size in a tank next to me.
Hang on, I've got a Ballistic too.
Ok, fess up-who's nicked my boat, fixed it and drystacked it?

Nowhere near your Rib John! It is a mystery how it get there though it must have "scaled" the racking.
We thought maybe it escaped from it's owner and was spotted by a hungry sea gull who picked it up and dropped it in the rib - truely a case of "boa meets gull"!!!!!
