IF it's any consolation I've gotta go in on the 30th. Hoping it's one night. Will say there's a better class of nurse in that London.

If it's a Ribotomy, I'd save your money - they just grow back in the spring, generally bigger than before

Willk - priceless comment
Okay so just to be clear regarding who could/can/might help with organising something again - we have:
1. Knot Yet - Jean
2. Knot Yet 2 - Darren
3. Hightower - Andy (when available and in the UK)
4. Nasher?
5. Chris?

I am always up for a blast and dont mind taking the job of proposing or organising a couple a year, to get things going I have just started a thread here.... Christmas Jolly to the Folly '09
The other annual event that I never got to go to but would like to see set up for 2010 is the Priory Bay Picnic and camping on the beach....
Priory Bay
I am happy to get involved however having not attended previously it may be easier for someone with local knowledge to run with it (I nominate Nasher)

Why don't you all come up here sometime? We could raid the pub on piel island and then go for a scoot round the coast.

Chris - thats great - thank you - I think Nasher would be very good but I also think he is very short of time (and has been it, seen it and done it all before)which is why the suggestion came up for some new blood to assist.
It would probably be a good idea if we all met up and talked through what we would like to do and when and then those of us keen to help organise can get started.
How does Saturday evening 5th December sound at the Churchillian(sp) - or feel free to suggest some alternatives .... (Chris I appreciate this might be difficult for you)
JSP - that would be fun

Doh - was I that transparent - I forget I'm talking to a Dad who understands parent speak
Let me rephrase my response - *clears throat* that would be lovely John but perhaps a bit far for a pub gathering - however a long weekend might be just perfect.
Does that sound more sincere??

I would like to suggest Port Solent as an alternative weekend meeting venue and leave the Churchillian as a Monday meet for the time being.

The down side to this, is that the "Minority" feel undermined and left out and so try to act-up (you know who you are) for resons only known by themselves. For these resons the couple decided that they would move away from organising this type of event and did something different. A sad loss in my opinion as the following 2 years were much quieter with regards meets etc.

Always wondered where they went? No animosity there then? They just moved on?

Thanks for the history lesson folks.
It has always been interesting to keep in touch with you lot. A bit of background always helps.
Sorry I can't pop over for a pint! (But will be in Poole in May for a wedding).
It is always good to connect / meet up with people who share our interest. I always love to get out in a group here (as at Halloween). Just a pity there seems to be only Willk an I from the other side of the sea posting here.
never worry about the begrudgers KN - just go round em.
best of luck JSP and KN and hope your stay in 'Prison' is short and changes things positively for you.

They bought and renovated a house on the Brittany Coast on the beach I believe. I never had the pleasure to stay there, but there was a RIBnet get together there once when Whiteshoes navigated by Sea Via the Channel Islands and along the Coastline. The others Towed their boats there.

I have high hopes for young Zube. He has What it Takes. He may even be made of The Right Stuff. Frankly, he scares me a bit...
