Martin Pete 7 sent me this last outing and i found it OK i was coming south down the A3.
Down the old A3 until the George Pub on your right, and B2177 goes over the top of the A3, take next left up the hill and do a 180. At junction turn left on to B2177. Drive one mile and you are there. Pub on the right. Magnificent view on the left.
Hope to see you there.

Martin

2 options from Winchester. Easiest is via M27

1) M27 J12 Take the 1st slip (A3?). Straight on at the traffic lights. 1st exit at next r/about (A3). 2nd left to B 2177 (slip road near top of hill). Churchillian is 1/2 mile on right. The entrance is immediatly past a car sales place. Car Park at rear of pub.

2) Go via Waltham Chase & Wickham. Left at the r/about past Wickham (Filling station on corner). 1/4 mile, right on to B2177 by the church. Follow that road past Southwick. Straight on at the r/about. 1st exit at r/about at the top of Portsdown Hill. Pass Fort Widley on left, and pub is on the left.

Glad to see everyone is still up for beer and banter, although I think 'Nashers Bash' is a little over the top.

It wasn't until after the event I realised just how inventive I've been to be there Monday night.

I've re-arranged the production schedules of printers in three countries, and persuaded my wife to let me out on one of the only week nights I'll be at home for a while.

Last week Denmark
This week Poland
Next week Ukraine and Stuttgart
Week after Poland again
week after that Belfast
Oh, and Monday the 13th from @ 8pm with my new friends the Solent Ribbers at the Churchillian, Portsdown Hill! come along and meet the crowd, its getting to the point where we are hard to miss when you get there.

Nasher.

Ah go on then have a greenie.

That's real effort for a beer with RIBsters.

Kevin & I will be there. (Aging Youth & Froglover) As we only live approx 10 mins away I don't think we would have much of an excuse not to be there. It's almost becoming a local for us !

It is good to meet others, and put names to faces. Or should that be faces to names !!!!

See you all there

Lat minute reminder for tonight,RIBnet drink (AKA Nashers do) pink carnations in the teeth so we know who’s from RIB net and it stops me getting arrested asking strangers in pubs leading questions. See you there.

Great night

Yes it was a good evening, great to meet you all.

We did seem to take over the bar, with such a good gathering.

Even organised some diving with fellow Ribsters !!!

Roll on next month, who knows we may have even more turn up, and I may even get out of being duty driver again ! (Although Aging Youth in a Pub not drinking ? Maybe not ! )

See you all again soon.
