Surely you will as ARCTIC CHALLENGER will be based in the Solent May/June 2006 during our training period so number of blasts will take place in your area and I can´t wait.

Update on progress can be found on www.ribsters.net

I expect the production of the boat will start tomorrow (Nov. 15th) and pictures will be displayed on www.ribsters.net

You never told us how you are planning to stop the boat sinking under the sheer weight of crew, engine and fuel. So what's the plan?

Will you be putting in enough bouyancy to keep it afloat when swamped? Are you fitting some sort of self bailer, or relying on bilge pumps to get the water out?

John

That's one topic of conversation sorted for tonight then!

And one for Gav and Bogib as it's such a difficult stretch of water.

Weather window will be vitally important I guess

John I am not that heavy nor rest of the crew ( ) weight of the engine is approx 75 kg heavier than my ex 200 EFI, we are looking at carry some 500 litres thereof nearly 200 litres will be under floor and remaining in a tank front of the bow fitted with fuel pumps to enable crossflowing between tanks, extra boyancy will be put at rear of the boat, three 3700 GPH bilge pumps, no intention of self bailer at the moment and we will have A frame and we will have canvas fitted.

My former experiance with this type of boat is that I have full confident the boat will handle this extra weight.

Please feel free to ask again

Bogi
