I'm not sure I could describe what was in the bag I took home without a picture though it It was rather amusing listening to Jimbo explain what it was!

Thanks for all the hard work by Nasher and co for a fantasic evening with good food and excellent company. The Parsnip and Chestnut soup was one of the best foods I've tasted for years.

Another memorable gathering of Solenteers this year! Most of the Church regulars were there and thank you most sincerely Nash for doing all the hard work this year! Top Man

Some of the highlights for us included

Arriving on the most amazing cruiser - heartfelt thanks Nauti Buoy and Nick! Beautifully handled by Richard Nauti also. Awesome.

Sipping champagne on the way down the harbour !!! Bit of a difference from the usual gunning past the firing ranges on Merlin!!!! Could convert one to hardboating!!!! Lovely to be joined by Nash and Frances, Davy and Lynn while Paul, Nick and Richard froze on the flybridge

The Lightship itself was a top idea (Pauly)

Frances singing Christmas Carols!

Having to unglue Andy Hightower from the ceiling of the Lightship (always carry the WD40!!!)

Everyone remembering Secret Santa except for a very busy couple (congrats on the babies Nemo and Natalie xx) and ourselves (Jimbo, thanks for the SAR - rescue!!!)

Everyone looking so different out of the ribbing gear! Students all in black tie!!!

Folks sorry we couldn't make it last night. Anyway Santa Claus has just called and presented me with a bent propellor, something to do with wrapping a rope around Old Spices prop 20 miles offshore, so thanks for the Rib Tickler Award.

Vivienne was also very suprised and pleased to receive the Bravery Award, for marrying me so thank you and we wish everyone a merry Christmas and happy New Year.
