Steve
Was it you I saw a few weeks back on the way into Lymington? I was in the yellow boat with the grey tubes.
Great dry boat with excellent acceleration with an opti 150 - and good fuel ecomony. I use mine all year round and am happy to go out in most weather. Arrange a demo with Lee - I think that you will be sold on them.
Good luck

We're going to be biaised because of investing in a Solent 6.5 but Merlin has meant many more fantastic trips in great comfort, speed and safety!
Locally, Brucehawkser has one also and Tim Griffin (6.9); not forgetting Simmons O (6m diesel).
Merlin feels like a performance boat yet handles the rough stuff quite happily. Almost 200 hours up and still grinning. Give us a shout if you're down this way and we'll give you a spin.
(Mention Paul's name to Lee and see him go quite pale in the face )

If she don't like noise then a 4 stroke is a good option (I used to love our 4-s for that very reason.) Andre & Bogib were also singing the praises of Andre's Verado on Monday nite. All they could hear was the telltale allegedly!!!
However I now like the feedback from the E Tec and it's relatively quiet also.

Don't mention Pauls name as poor old Lee is still recovering from that sale
If you look at Merlin and see all the bling on her you will know why. I think Paul was at the hangar more that the laminators during Merlins build. They are an excellent boat quite a few training schools are buying them now because of their handling , speed and quality and we don't spend are money easily when we are looking for a training boat. Merlin has already done some epic journey's in his/her ? short life and looks ace. Simmo's rib is also fantastic one of the smallest with a diesel and fast from all accounts . Give Lee a bell and arrange a visit or blag a ride on Merlin I think you will be impressed.

Buy her some ear defenders...they'll keep her lugs warm too.
Which reminds me.....if you could relocate any part of a woman's body, which bits would you move?
Put her ears onto her hips.

I have the Suzi DF140 and am thrilled with it, find it very smooth, very quiet and frugal. Took a mate out on the weekend and he kept commenting on how quiet he thought it was. This is my 3rd Suzuki, on my Avon 560 I had a 90hp 4 stroke, then on my Avon 620 I had a DF-140 and same again now.
Likewise was also tempted with the Honda 150 V-tec but found that to be 5kgs over my transom weight, and although it is only 5kgs did not want to risk invalidating any warranties or insurance.

"do you really need that"
"how can you justify spending that"
"no"
"not tonight darling.........."
