Dont have pics to back it up but there used to be two boats in Largs marina with intersting names....

Yip, I remember those the Minjeeta name, was the actual manufacturer's name for the model how's that for market research.

Citreon's CX range had a diesel in it,Citreon were going to call it a 'VD'......until someone suggested they check it's meaning in English.

Similarly the Toyota 'MR2' was sold as the 'MRS' in France....MR Deux sounding too much like Merde.

Lancia were going to call a small car they made in the '80's, the 'y 10'; until someone pointed out, selling a pale chicken in the uk would be difficult

Friend of mine has a small (12'? 10.5'?) RIB called "Baby Back"

In the US (don't know about int'l) there is an offshoot GPS/Chartplotter made by a company called Fugawi. As in "Where the Fugawi?"
