If my memory serves me Avon had made that hull for a while, well for the adventure so maybe because there are very few around, thats the first I've ever seen.

Or the wife saw the purchase price on the auction and wanted a new kitchen?
Why not ring and ask? He's put his phone number on there...

Or the buyer and seller were the same person (or linked people) who bid up the original sale to try and get a better price?

I chased a bike like this,
One day listing, couldn't get a reply to questions and Iam sure the seller sold it to a friend or Fictitious buyer people seemed scared to bid .
I reckon sale was needed for divorce settlement or similar . Sell it to a mate chaep give her half and buy it back . Probably a similar case

That sounds more like a 419 scam.

No.... It's a Nigerian based scam where they ask you to pay for the item before you see it via Western Union or the like and they don't actually have it...
1-day auctions on ebay where no-one answers questions are usually a good indication its a scam.
Have a look at www.419eater.com if you want a laugh...
or http://www.419eater.com/html/419faq.htm for what the scams are.

the avon 720 apparently has a poor reputation for sea keeping and ride, some dealers refuse to sell them. Perhaps the owner purchased the boat, did not like the handling and is selling on again. ......just what i had heard when i was looking into an avon 620/720
