Boat Show
Hi all,
I am going to boatshow Saturday 21st and would like to meet up and put a few faces to names.
I will try and remember to take my digital camera and then try and work out how to upload some pics to the site.
Cheers
Clive

I will be around on the first Friday, Tuesday and possibly the last Saturday. For those of you who do not yet own a copy of the Good Launch Guide, can I recommend a visit to the Kelvin Hughes stand where you will be able to buy your copy for only £7.95.

Hopefully going next Thurs or Fri (19th/20th). Off the wall question to all - anyone know of a decent B&B/Pub (preferably pub!) in hampshire on the way down from the M25? Still suffering with my back and don't fancy driving there and back in a day from darkest Essex as well as traipsing round the show. Dont wanna stay in Soton itself cos it'll be chocker!
Cheers,
Alan

Alan,
There's quite a few around the Winchester area if that suits you.
The "Good Pub Guide" is a useful resource - I don't know whether they're as helpful as Geoff by putting anything on a web site...
If Winchester is any good, I'll have a look?

OK - I'm working from memory now (It's nearly three years since I lived in Winchester...) as my old copy of said "pub bible" is at home, but there's a super place at Owslebury (can't remember the name, or if they do accomodation!), and the Wykeham Arms in Winchester (01962 853834) is a fab olde-worlde place.... the Dever Arms at Micheldever (01962774339) used to be a favorite distraction from work. Again, I don't know whether these do accomodation or not. I don't mind thumbing through the book when I get in tonight . I've pulled the tel no's for these from these allaboutpubs.com (you didn't think I kept a database of boozer 'phone numbers did you?)
HTH.

I can reccommend the Milburys Pub, very near the A272 exit of the M3 and with glorious views over the Downs, also friendly landlord (Len) and excellent food. Sorry, don't know phone no., but surely in the book.

Bit late now, Mr Lurcher! You'll have a pub full of ribsters before closing time (well, I can think of worse )
Anyway, any joy from these, Alan?
If not, please post again and I (and others, I guess) will search our memories (and the Good Pub Guide) for something.

Is anyone going to the boat show on Wednesday 18th? If not, I'm going to be a bit lonely and sad all on my own!!
Hope to hear from a friend!
Doh! Mrs Pepper's taken to rib.net (even though she doesn't like RIBs) - but she reckons I'm a sad git for taking a day off to go to the boat show mid-week
So I'm gonna have to log out in future!
Anyway, if there's anyone going on Wednesday, it would be good to meet up.
Richard.

Charles,
PM sent!
Looks like the Raymarine won over the Garmin plotter then?
