All of the kit on our stand will be "live".
They will work in the same way as our training sims.
Fully working but will not TX off the Stand.
We do this so people can play with all the feature inc load hailer and fog horn.
I look forward to seeing some old faces and meeting a few new ones.
Regards

Whos going to be at the Show longest
Will be going to set up this Sunday and will be working entire duration of show and doing break down 5th - 22nd September inclusive 7am - 7.00 pm + late night on the Thursday, Yippee can hardly wait, Jon B if you should find yourself anywhere near B24 pop in for a Gin earlier the better we usually start before they let the public in we find it helps concentrate the mind on their boating problems.

Cheaper still is to befriend your local exhibitor, they are able to buy entrance tickets for £5.00, (might have gone upa bit) to give away to their prospective/favourite customers.
This always sorts out the true friends in the trade, coz they all tend to shy away from doing it for some reason. I'm not exhibiting, but I've got mine for me mates, and an exhibitors pass for me self!!!!!!!

I'll be there. Look forward to putting some names to faces. Will definitely be going by the ICOM stand as we've just lost our VHF due to a waterproof Aquapac filling up with water Looking forward to meeting you Jon.

I`ve never been to the Southampton Boat Show and I`m planning on visiting this one for the first time by sea.
Is it possible or a good idea?
I mean will I find a 60ft princess tied to my rubber cleats and a two hundred quid mooring fee?
Chris

I dont think they have visitors berths at the show itself but town quay marina is very close
http://www.marina-info.com/townquay/marinas.asp
they always seem very busy though, you could try
Hythe Marina Village/The Lockhouse, Shamrock Way Hythe, SOUTHAMPTON, Hampshire SO45 6DY
T: 02380207073
and catch the hythe ferry across, the ferry terminal is about a 10 minute walk from Hythe marina.

It's very difficult going to the boat show by sea (other than the ferry). Town Quay marina is not open to passing trade there is however a little known public slipway at Town Quay where you can disembark. You have to have the normal row with the security guard but just quote your rights to get on and off the sea as laid down in the Magna Carta
Failing that park your boat at Saxon wharf ( the day fee is 8 quid) and I'll give you a lift to the show.
Kim,Chris if you are down in Southampton give me a call and we can arrange a date for your course.
JF send me £1.49 in used 5 pence pieces or I'll tell em where Leviathong is moored
cheers
Stuart
