As Ian says, the attendance at the show today was 'comfortable' for us as punters, but I'd imagine a bit slack for some of the traders.

Was good to catch up with Hightower and IanM, we did hang around on the pontoon having a good look at Cookees new boat, but he was inside obviously putting together a big deal, so we wandered off.

I really feel like I've made the most of the show this year.
Sunday was great with Mrs Nasher and the smaller Nashers for our usual family day out, and going back today by myself allowed me to concentrate of a few things I really wanted to spend some more time on.
Hooking up with Hightower for a wander round the pontoons and a tour of the Navy ship was good, as was seeing Mr and Mrs M. I also went along to see some old colleagues and acquaintances on various stands, so unusually for me it was a nice social day out.

Boats of the show?
Rib wise I do like the one off Ribcraft bowrider design exercise, even though it wouldn’t be a good layout for our use of a boat.
Also liked the new Hydromax range, and of course the Revengers and Goldfish.
Other than that, can’t stop thinking about the Beneteau Swift Trawler 44 and 37, plus the same size Targas.

Thanks to Mr Cooke who made my day when he let me on board his boat and sit in one of the hot seats(even if they are not made for a lard arse like me)it made the 300 mile round trip worthwhile. The Mrs had to tell me to shut up about it after .
Speaking to someone i know who was exhibiting he showed me attendance figures upto yesterday that showed numbers down 12% on average with -25% last Sunday.
A few images of Cookee's boat attached.

DH and I went on Wednesday - not been before, but it did seem quieter than I was expecting. I've got another ticket, so was wondering about going with DD1 tomorrow, now I understand how the wheelchair access works - depends on whether it's mad busy today, if it turns out to be fairly quiet then we'll pop up again. I didn't really see the stuff I wanted to see, because DH is (even) newer to this than I am, so it was fun just watching him wandering about with his eyes bugging out!

Sorry about that - some people just wanted a chat and I don't like to be rude and tell them their time's up! Hope I get to give you the tour another time - we will be at both of the Top Gear Live shows with the boat with our sponsors E-Lites in November - more details nearer the time!
