I've heard a few horror stories of attempted "boat knapping" on the Spanish Costas, stay alert & enjoy👍

Enjoy your trip south, it's very beautiful down there and very relaxing.
Having said that, just a word of caution as mentioned in previous post, the Biggest place of concern is easily Barcelona. Especially near the Majorca/Palma ferry terminals and the highways leading out of them. More than one occasion myself and other (numerous) team members have experienced this. The classic is your driving down the road minding your own business and a motorcycle comes up and starts pointing at your trailer saying there's something wrong with it, they speed off and so you pull over. Once your out of the car checking the trailer, a car pulls over either behind you or in front of you with several men and they ask your all your money and laptops.
There not too stingy, they do leave you with your clothes and rig. They definitely target tourist with boat trailers, we're easy to pull over when someone points out a problem with your trailer. They also on mopeds slash your trailer tire when stopped at a traffic signal then wait for you to pull over and they offer assistance and all your money.
Also frequently had trailers stolen or tampered in Spain when rib is in use, spare tires and jack wheel have been taken. Please be sure to lock everything up very well. Lock your engine to the hull, lock your trailer wheel to the trailer when not in use. I've also have had to use a lock & cable from rib to dock cleat when leaving rib in water overnight in public places.
Please don't use this post as to scare you, just precautions. I love Spain and will gladly go there over and over again. Enjoy your trip and may you always find safe harbor!

Arrived at the villa yesterday. It took 26.5 hours door to door to do 987 mile. We left Stoke at 0930 and were here by lunchtime. No bandits on route!
All trailers ran OK except a little smoke off a new trailer( not mine) as we dropped down from the mountains in central France. Two hold ups on the way M25 and an accident on a motorway in France. Generally a pretty good journey running through the night.
Off to the marina to launch later this morning. The trailers will be left in the garage by our villas so should be quite secure for the period.

Lucky you. I go every year alone to Greece.
I have resign of some long trips because we are alone.
Is it some club or just coincidence that there are 3 Touaregs.
Almost 1000 miles is really long trip with trailer.
I make only 600-700 and longer distance go by ferry.
Have a good vacation and please make a lot of pictures.
Can you show on google.map where you are and what trips are you planning please ?

I know you can't get there by boat but if you get a chance you should have a walk around and a lunch in the old part of Girona. It's beautiful

But for RC585 there are perfect conditions.
Why do you expect flat ?
It is hot area so during the Summer thermal wind is normal here.

Yep without fail in Aug the wind will come up between 12 and 1. If you want to do water sports get out about 8am. It's usually flat calm. Or in the evening. If you are not antifouling expect some serious growth. Highly recommend a bit of a scrub while at anchor each day. Makes the cleanup much easier.
