Splicing

Hi... Any good videos or pictures on splicing a 3 strand mooring rope ? (10-12mm).. normally use an anchor bend on a ss eye but see if splicing is a more tidy way... txs huib

Main thing I've always found key (as I only do these once in a blue moon) is to colour key each strand (ie red/white/blue) or my brain gets ker-fuzzled....

Splicing

A good tip for those who are planning on splicing rope , after you have done the splice , roll it about on the floor under your foot a few times , it tightens it all up & finishes it off neater .
