SR 5.4 weight and trailer

Does anyone has any clue how much this beauty might weight without engine?

I need to buy new trailer and I'm not sure whether it should come with brakes or SR 5.4 is light enough for trailer without brakes.

It depends on the console type, equipment, A-frame etc but I'd guess in the region of 350kg empty.

Worth searching the archives as it's been discussed several times.

From memory you CAN get them in under 750kg with a Yam 90 2 stroke on,and a lightish trailer but you're only on average about 20-30kg under the 750kg limit including trailer even then, so you can't really carry fuel and gear in the boat.

Mine's on a braked trailer. I much prefer being able to carry a big load of fuel aboard.

This is a question which I had and had no joy answering........so I weighed my rig!

It's a 5.4 Searider with an old clamshell mariner, central consol plus the aluminium A frame and a small stainless steel dive bottle rack. Also two batteries under the seat add to the weight.

With that kit, on a trailer with no fuel.....no anchor/warps....nuffin extra

740kg on a registered weigh bridge (phew)

So fortunately legal on its un-braked trailer providing I carry the extras in the car.
