Personaly I doubts, but the customer has an old 85 hp Force and is pleased with it, but he wants a new engine and I would say there is a bit difference going to 90 Opti so I was hoping someone out there has tried the package.

What's the weight difference?
Are you fitting it for him?
Do you leave yourself open to being sued if he kills himself if you are?

i had a 4.7 with a yamm 70 and it was a superb combination...............surprisingly fast top speed and took off like a catapult. I am not sure if i've mentioned it before
I think a 90 might be a bit too much why not try the opti 75

opti 90 is a heavy lump, i over weighted a ribcraft 4.8 ,it didit no favours what so ever, it would have been better with a smaller engine, why dont you look at a tohatsu 75 tldi or a yam 75 two stroke, you need a light engine,

Tohatsu not available over here and Yammie is not an option.

No, we will not fit the engine...... this is a SAR teams boat
The weight of Force 85 is 129 kg versus 90 Optimax is 170 kg so around 40 kg heavier.
We will not be liable as I have put my doubts in writing with the offer
