Have you driven one? But your'e right a 40 would be fine if the boat is gonna sit on the trailer, but if you are taking it to see you need more power. 60 would do it but a 90 is nicer.

Very underpowered and that seat doesn't look too great for comfort either - especially in a messy sea.

Yeah, the way that was phrased could mean that, or could mean they hold their air every day (i.e donlt leak)

Don't you just love th English language.......

As for 40, Avon state on their data sheet that 40 is the minimum useful HP, and with the flooding hull blocked it might be OK 1 or 2 up, as long as you weren't in a hurry......

Slight shame the transom has been cut - then you only need to find another 40 and you'd have quite a neat setup......assuming the hull is OK, of course!

You thinking of getting rid of the 4.7?
