1. What material is the new tubes made of?
2. Why ask 'after' you have done it?

i'm not sure what the tubes are made from,i don't know much about ribs.how can i find out?
when i first looked at the boat i thought the ballast system was homemade and after using it found it was a bit arse down.was it a standard system for these boats?
cheers

Welcome to Ribnet
Rather than rehash a load of old posts, search the forums for ' TFR ' and 'Flooding Hull'.
You'll get a fair bit of reading

Your starting now, give me a chance I am a new member and posting can be scary, just trying to find my way around the forum and keen to ask questions
You don't need to remind people that I am the Searider specialist, I have been working on these type of craft for at least 4 weeks, I have attached lots of things and am good at sourcing necessary stuff for them (photos supplied) if they have a question they can just ask me

Nice one, there isn't many of those about, never been in one but I've had a few sr4.7's and they are great. Do you have any pics?

Lots of Avon expertise on here
Most things you can probably think of asking will have been asked before. A quick search using key words might bring luck. If not, just ask and you'll probably get a queue of folks offering good advice.
Just be patient with the banter until you're calibrated to it. Much of it can be wicked Oh, and watch out for WiLlfish

Seariders are great and I have really enjoyed owning mine, I started out with an SR4 and once you know what you are doing it is quite fun.
Here is my project thread if you want to have a read

I might be able to help you out here.. I have a 4.7 and a 5.4 in our shed at the moment ( I love the Shed ) Tell me what the measurement of yours is from the outside of the transom to the centre of the bow under the tubes. Run the tape along the hull on the inside underneath the tubes and then I will measure mine.
Also if you have an email address PM it to me as I have a nifty file from searider with the specs on which I will send you.
re TFR 9.97 should cover it
HYPER CONCENTRATE TFR's
having just seen your pictures take the measurement from the outside it will be easier
