Still on the search- what about this one?
Yet another rib I may be interested in. 12 footer here. If you have not seen my previous posts I am changing from a SIB (honwave t40) to a 3.5-4m rib for my 25hp 2 stroke tohatsu.
My question is, can all the crap be removed. I am talking about the spray deck thing and the windscreen?
I would much rather have it set up like a conventional rib with a center console.

Sell the Honwave/Tohatsu as a package and buy something that is ready-rigged to your needs. Beyond adding remotes, I am sure you have considered that a 4m rib might require a standard shaft? The rib in your pictures also needs stripping out, patching up and refitting to make it right for you. This all seems like a lot of trouble and compromise for the sake of a 25hp motor. There are likely to be some rigged ribs with equally good outboards.

When I say 3.5-4m, really I mean abouit 3.6m. They are all short shaft. The sellers I have contacted who would consider selling the boat seperately would include the steering and one guy even said the remoted :O So I don't think it is too much of a mamouth task replacing one engine with another
I know I sound like a little baby wanting to hang onto my sweets, but they just taste too good

Depends on what you call conventional.
Remember the first RIBs available to the public in any number, the Flatacraft Force 4 and 4M Searider, left the factories with back to back seating, dashboard, windscreen and spraydeck exactly like the RIB you're considering.

After a bit of thought, I may sell the boat as a package. That way I can get a longshaft outboard. I am looking at the seariders.
I have been browsing on here and found this: http://www.rib.net/forum/f21/avon-sr...ler-54455.html
The yams tend to be pretty good engines don't they?

Looks like a nice boat, although that cutaway would worry me, especially as the seller mentions in a previous thread he's had issues with it. Transom braces are also missing.

I know I saw that I don't know whether he ended up raising the transom or not?
But there is a lot of similar combos out there. I think 2k is a good price for me. I know you are not going to get a mint one, but to be honest, after owning a mint boat and engine, I don't think I want to own one again. They are just too much hassle. One that is a bit dogeared is good for me because you don't mind if you scuff it or anything like that.
The seller was unsure with what year the motor was, does anybody know? My guess is 1994?
SO these engines are pretty reliable, right?
Cheers

I know you are a fan of Tohatsu. Check out the Xpro 380 with Tohatsu 30 on Ebay. Has the centre console and jockey seat you want. Bid is currrently £500.

I think that will go a bit out of my budget, and it is a 4 stroke, thanks for the suggestion. I will still see how it runs though, you never quite now eh?
