Anyone know if its ok to keep Antifoul in supermarket 5l plastic water containers?I bought a big drum of the` stuff and only use a few litres per season. Will be a lot easier to handle and keep fresh if I can decant it into something smaller.Got loads of these containers lyng around.

Try a little to make sure the solvent doesn't dissolve the plastic. If it don't then it will probably be ok

Make sure you turn the containers over regularly to stop the paint seperating

Curious as to where you got a big drum of it as i and a few mates have 40 ft cruisers as well as ribs, and want to buy a few "drums" of the stuff, has to work out cheaper in bulk surely.

I dont know where you buy in bulk.I was just lucky a guy in the same boatyard where I keep the yacht wanted rid of a 20litre drum and I was happy to give him a few quid for it.It will last me years if I store it properly!!
