strabond

Is strabond 2 part adhesive a suitable glue for attaching PVC tubes to rib hull? Seems to be the only one that is fairly easy to get in any quantity in the USA.

Stabond is supposedly good for PVC (I've never used it.)

Other choices would include the Zodiac 7097 (Universal), or Weaver 3001 (also Universal.) I believe all 3 are urethane adhesives.

I've used the Weaver glue for attaching hypalon to aluminum, and it works quite well. Doesn't turn an ugly brown like the hypalon glues do, either. Supposedly available from Shipstore.com (and perhaps other places.)

Should be able to get the Zodiac adhesive from a dealer, though they will probably have to order it.

Thanks, I looked at zodiac and weaver as well but can only find the zodiac in 800cc and the weaver in 1/4 liter containers than come with the MEK and a bunch of other stuff I don't need. I just need the glue and a fair bit of it. The Strabond 2 part comes in some bigger containers from NRS so was just wondering if anyone has used it on big jobs and if the quality was good.

And just realized that I mis-spelled it as well. It is Stabond. :-)
