strange setup.
Whilst trawling through eBay I came across this!
Never seen the throttles on either sides of the consul before.
Can’t be user friendly or am I missing something?

Not sure it is very user friendly when it gets bumpy. I have seen throttles on one side and separate gear levers on the other side before but I have to agree that the boat I'm the photo is only suitable for an octopus or someone that can operate a steering wheel with their leg and still stay upright when they bounce off a wave.

Far too much symmetry going on with that boat.

It should be possible to "stack" the throttles side by side as per the norm.

thats what i would have thought! hence my comment in my OP "am i missing something?"
there not a matched pair of engines either, both right handed gearboxes. would that have much effect on a RIB this size and power?

Shouldn't as long as it has hydraulic steering.

Conventional wisdom has it that its that only after 115hp do twins need to be counter-rotating - I have run twin Honda 90's and currently have twin 115's right handed - both setups run with no bad habits.
As for the throttles - Mick's Redbay has twin side-by-side Honda throttles - maybe he would post a pic

Tchu! I'll never understand wimmin, one minute they're banging on about how brilliant they are at multitasking & the next minute they're moaning about how they have to do the washing, ironing, cleaning, cooking, taking the kids to school, picking the kids up from school, shopping, getting the coal in, hold down a job. All I asked her to do was get me a beer
