submarine barrier

Hi folks i,m new to the area and have made my first foray into the solent not wanting to push my luck so missed the barrier by going around the fort after looking at my charts but there is a gap i can see ,on the chart but is it marked clearly any advice is great thanks .

It's prety clearly marked. The gap is about half way along and I think has a beacon on either side.

It uncovers at low water springs so if you get out early tomorrow you might see it.
It consists of stone blocks about 2m wide. Don't run into it - its hard!

As you go along Southsea Beach towards Pompey, roughly level with the end of the pier, but about 1/2 mile before you get to it, you will see two huge markers sticking out of the sea about 30'-40' apart. This is your channel.

As Duncan says, once you've seen the blocks at low tide you will keep well clear.

there are two opening iner and outer Dolphin the iner is almost next to the peirboth clearly marked
