from what i remember i think it was Dave Haygreen and associates that designed and built some around 25 ,,30 years ago ,,late 70s or very early 80s ,when they were based at Horsforth nr leeds,or around the time they moved out to HULL ,,though they were not for sale to the general public ,,,perhaps for a certain branch of the m.o.d,,,they looked more like a conventional r.i,b and i think it took about 10 mins to prepare either to submerge or use a boat ,

I think they were the ones that were tested locally. All black they were. 'Tomorrows World' came up to film them, but it was a wild and grey day. As the cameraman said, 'They expect me to film a black boat, underwater, against a dark background, on a day no brighter than twilight'.

They did a talking echo sounder aboard my boat instead.

I thought that I had the only one of those. At about 100m from the shore she starts saying "I really think we're a bit close now..."

Works really well in the car too

What does she say in the car? - "What are we doing out here in the sea you prat, now look I've got my new shoes wet!"

Oh! Yes. Not the only one either.

As for the echo sounder, whatever you feel about yours, I'm sure she's a lot more useful than the one they fitted to my boat.
