suggestions - big RIB, Wheelhouse etc

I would be pleased to hear suggestions on a large rib setup - 7-10m. Im looking for an all-weather kit, small pilot house, with plenty of space fore and aft. Inboard diesel, multi-o/bs, fuel efficieny, ? Stowage...maybe a small head? In essence, I am thinking of the best all around rib for extended coatal and blue water exploration without gowing crazy with exotic bit$ - In northern North East USA by the way...

thanks

Three that come to mind immediately are Redbay, Ribtec and Protector. You should find contact details for them in the trade directory.

Yes. A 9m version went round Britain in 1999 -- I remember Jason looking very smug when the weather was bad!

Hmmmm, nice, but not really my thing. I have always like the commercial boats - something like this:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Ex-Na...72969464QQrdZ1

The local tow boat operator in Portland Maine (usa) has a real nice rig, of course I only saw it from the dock...

What i like is the deck space fore and aft, I dont want a cabin cruiser style.

Mark - think this is the Scorpion referred to

Also the other shot is not quite a RIB (Sacrilege i know) but is a wicked boat and incredibly practical (i know of one or two RIB aficionados on this forum who are rather partial to them)

Ah yes, although I was referfing to the two Hot Lemon pictures that were posted.

I like the idea of hard-ish top but it looks like an after thought on the grey Scorpion, which of course it was. Sure Graham could come up with something that looks way more stylish

Those are interesting... I'll have to investigate further.

The above us surplus rib doesnt have a hardtop, or pilot house, but looks as if it may easily be adapted so.
