1) After each race have podium presentations for that race, makes for great publicity and gives each team a daily goal to aim for.
2) Don't change the courses much from last year, it was a great test for RIBs and teams.
3) Have a race day then a lay day - as I said before, it gives time between races to repair / re-coupe.
4) Start the races slightly earlier - try and beat the force 5-6 winds.

I agree with everything Richard said - a lay day after the first day would have helped - the first day will always be the worst for problems!

The Sharm El Sheik harbour would have benefited from shelter and a large amount of drinking water as well as some food considering the amount of time spent down there. All of the other venues were much more accessible.

The refuelling could do with a bit of modernising!

Shipping the boats by container will result in better security for the boats and equipment.

Try and make it possible for the spectators to see more of the action.

I hope that's what you were asking for!

rally 2007

cookee i agree with you .
The boat will be launched in el gouna marina where you have all needed infrastructure you even could go for beer while launching your boat.

first racing day will be a bit shorter leg and you will get back to the same port which you started from.

concerning fueling defenetly will be improved hopefully sponsored from Total.

We will try to get a venue in Hurghada at the new marina which has been opened 2 month ago there be shure you will find load of people coming.

Would be nice to have you with us this year cookee.

That all sounds great, but unless a number of us get our insurance money I'm afraid our confidence in the event has been ruined!

Although I agree that shipping the boats in a container is the safest and the best way to do it as Cookee suggested, it may be more expensive that if they were shipped as deck cargo??

It may worth looking at the possibility in having live coverage of the event.

Install large TV screens in the hotel where the spectators will be staying so that they are able to watch transmission of the race from the helicopter.

Live TV might be a lot more expensive than the containers .............. unless you have a contact?
