It's really not feeling it now...70+ knot gusts isn't very summery
My house is making odd noises...and leaking round the windows ......and you could feel my office walls moving in the wind this afternoon..

do you get much trouble from the speed police on windermere? Our boat is really frustrating at anything under 10mph :-(

Hi Picky, I have been going to Windermere for about 8 years, the speed limit is now 10knots so 11.5 mph, I add doel fins to mine before I go up so planing is that much easier, tend to do about 12 to 15 mph and never had any issues.
talking to the police launch this year, I think you have to take the mick to get a ticket.

Cheers bud do you use the quite pricey, detachable fins? I notice the cheaper ones actually bolt through the cavitation plate and I don't really fancy doing that. We have lots of friends up there and have spent some good times there before we moved from cruiser to a rib. You never know we may see you there as it's one of our nearest venues and a nice easy launch.
By tha way, the last time we were out on the lake the weather was like this, we had a great time but the horizontal rain was making it impossible to see so came back in.
Cheers
Picky

hi Picky, cheaper ones, I have 4 little holes in my Yam cav plate for 8 years no issues. the fins make a big difference for slower planning.
I will be there 8th Aug for two weeks, be good to meet?
