Shakedown of refurbed SR 5.4 in Feb
Round Anglesey for Macmillan in April (plus maybe a visit to Oban/Tobermory depending on work/weather)
Couple of weeks in June or August, depending on weather, visiting Islay/Jura/Gigha, etc with a visit to Loch Lomond on way up/down.
Generally lurking around the north Wales coast, Menai Straits/Anglesey/Aberdovey areas whenever the planets align, the sun shines and the Leader of the Opposition doesn't have a list of jobs that need doing or relatives that need seeing!

Plans - well just getting experience with boating, navigating. Using it around the south coast, trips to France and the Channel Islands. Then taking it to the Med.
Probably some more advanced courses and a bit more fettling to make it perfect I reckon. Also like to combine the boat with a few bivi nights. Oh, and of course some diving.
Ive also got plans for diving several WW2 wrecks around Corsica and making a photographic record of them.

All depends on actual dates/weather forecast, etc. Too early to make concrete plans but if there's an invasion force being assembled I'm more than happy to join in.
Either way, I'll certainly let you know when I'll be in the area and tap into your local knowledge/meet out on the water.
I've sailed extensively around the area but obviously it's a completely different ball game when you've got a 2 metre keel and top speed of only 12 knots (provided you get the sticks and string aligned correctly and the tide up yer backside).
I'm looking forward to the additional 'freedom' a RIB provides in terms of accessing areas previously out of bounds to a yacht either because of constraints of draft, tidal windows, etc.
Well aware that operating a RIB in these waters brings different challenges so your offer to share your local knowledge is most generous and well received, thank you.

Forgot to mention, we are booked to go to Lake Annecy in July/August (third year returning back there). We also have another free week in the summer holidays, might try one of the lochs in Scotland, or open to suggestions

Sounds like a cracking place to live.
Went to Annecy many years ago, and a marriage or two ago
That was before I knew the thrill of actually going there in the RIB
