Very similiar. Mine used to have Twin 60s on the back until I bought it. Will do a bit of research

Bar the single knuckle at the back they look very similar.

Have you got a pic of the bow showing the V?

John did shutter for different lengths. Them again, I was convinced mine was only a 5m until someone told me I had to measure from nose to tip as I was just measuring the hull not the tubes.

Still seems odd to me

Hi.

Had a chat with John today. Apparently they did Do a 5.5 and 5.8 with that planing pad so it is very likely it is one of his.

He also says that if you put up some pics of the hull, console and deck he may be able to give you some history on it.

Great chap, he was able to tell me where mine ha been from new

Would appreciate that can you send me his details and I will chase that up be great to know a little history. It's been garaged for the last 5 years prior to me buying it intend to use it as much as possible and spend some money on it getting it up to spec.

Seems to be a very solid hull very much looking forward to trying her out. Sadly it was neglected prior to my ownership so it's great to see it taking shape again.

Measured her at the weekend at last. 5.4M long and 2.4M wide from tube edge to tube edge. Few pictures below:

David is your engine an XL shaft to clear the hull? Need to get a longer gearbox / Midsection for mine now as it suffers from cavitation as the current drop isnt quite long enough. Still very pleased with my overall progress enjoyed 6 hours on the water on Saturday.

Looking at the pics we are definitely from the same mould

Sent pm but mine will cavitate if trimmed to far up. Try putting weight to the rear then the front and see what works.

I can lend you the mother in law if you need to keep the nose decked out or airborne. Very solid weight. Just give her the anchor to hold in case she falls overboard.

Also, are you sure the weight of all those flare holders aren't keeping her from getting on the plane?

Definitely not haha. See my other post about the engine height definitely needs to be lower due to the transom height. Great rib though handled very well in a big swell at the weekend.

That's a very early Northcraft - around 1990-92, I'd say. Later boats had a slightly raised bow tube, easily noticeable by the additional chine just below the tube flange. They also had a different form of planing pad. The one in the pics attached was made in October '93. The bow chine was tidied up on later (post '98ish) boats and the original design planing pad returned.

Looking at it again, the spray rails are different on the orange and white boats.
