Have you guys got room for another in the convoy at 9.30 from port solent? Going to be on my own until later in the day so would be nice to have some company - and I will never find priory beach since my plotter stopped plotting!

Sure Ozz.
Estimated departure time 9.30. But Paul may take the RIB out before then as it may be busy.
See you tomorrow! Got some Irish visitors for you to meet!
K
Also meeting Martyn and Ann
DJL
Pete 7
Aging Youth and Kathryn
Carl and Crew
And waving at any nice Marshalls we meet on our way to the viewing spot.

Is there somewhere Rib nutters er netters are meeting up or is it literally bump into one another. I am launching tomorrow from Itchenor and wandering down for the day.
Boat is rather distinctive as it is still in military mode - scraggy with lots of fendering stuck on.

I will be out. Launching early from Hythe. Will try and rendezvous with the Portsmouth group shortly after the 9.30 departure.
Another restricted area near south Bramble bouy - http://www.southamptonvts.co.uk/files/2005no27.pdf

Swifty if you read back you will see a group of boats will leave Port Solent from 9.30. Then we will head outside the exclusion zone to a viewing point and end up at Priory Bay.
One boat will come from Chichester but it may be later. Hope to see you!
(sorry Dan..just added you to list. )

Some kid in a pac with blue flashing lights kindly flagged us down to inform me that we were too close to the submarines in the eastern solent, and that the carriers and subs had a 400m zone around them..

The kids liked it.. The drive down to Gosport was interesting.. Came outta Stubb by the Shell garage, and the cars were queued back past that to the mini-roundabouts.. All heading for the seafront.. Tomorrow is gonna be hectic..

Not even getting in a car tomorrow.
We'll sit out there 'till we see evrything and then 'twill be time for refreshments.
Do you think the French will win this time since they do happen to have the biggest bote out there?

Only if they do what the French normally do, and cheat.. I think it was prolly only invited so it could be on hand to rescue the yanks again..

Please stop. All these comments might offend them. IN future you must ensure you are politically neutral, and rather than pairing countries against one another, will you please only use the teams "red" and "blue", as a team is a far nicer concept than a country anyway, and red and blue are relatively non offensive so nobody should get upset if they loose. Shocking really.
(P.s., where's that french warship, and has anyone got a canon I can borrow?)
