Tarp solution for Zodiac Pro Open 550

Hi!

I have a Zodiac Pro Open 550, 2010. I am thinking about a good tarp solution, like a mooring cover. This is mainly for the autumn, since I have trees hanging over and there will be lots of leaves.

For winter, I can use a much bigger tarp, but does anyone have a good solution for something that easily and fast can be applied when the boat is in the water? What size etc do you use?

Cheers!

If you want it to use while moored it’ll need to be a good fit so a rectangular tarp will not do. Best solution may be custom made. I took my boat to a truck cover maker who did a great job for reasonable money. But it’s very heavy and would be a struggle to fit on the water so you’ll have to balance durability with ease of handling while fitting.

I picked up an original Zodiac cover for mine secondhand a few years ago. It’s designed to be used when it’s on the trailer But I have used it when it’s in the water. A slight modification to allow mooring lines would help.

I use a Ducks Back cover on my Ocean which I'm more than happy with.

they do need replacing every 6-7yrs, but for the price I'm happy with that.

I do however use a long sectional tent pole from bow to stern underneath it so the rain doesn't pool in it.
