Tees barrage fees?

Afternoon all, is anyone able to clarify fees/requirements to launch at the barrage and go up the Tees?

Have found conflicting information, there's some threads on f-ribs and sibs and others suggesting it's free?

3.1m rib with yam 9.9 4stroke

Thank you.

its free if you head up river towards yarm but if you want to head out to sea you will be charged to use the lock at £10

Have you been up yourself? Do you know how far is navigable by boat?

I pop up the river a few times a year, mainly in the winter when the 'unofficial' advice is to 'go steady past the boat clubs, then you can open up round the S bends'.
You can get up past Yarm, I've been to beyond Worsall area, probably a bit further in a SIB, there is plenty of depth but too many semi-submerged logs......
I think that I pay £10 for the Searider, just make sure that you have a copy of your indemnity insurance for the guys at the barrage!
