Thanks for the memories!

Hightower signing out for the foreseeable!

Through a change of circumstances in recent years I have found that using Blue Venom to be difficult/impossible. I held on to her for as long as I could in the hope of future use and probably held on for too long as there were a few "age" related issues with her before I sold her last weekend.

So the time had come and I sold her last weekend, she's on her way to West Scotland and have been told she is going to be cruising around Hebrides area.

Just wanted to say that I've met some fantastic people through RIBnet and hold many fond memories of many cruises over the years.

So what of the future! I have a childhood car list that I haven't even thought about ticking off until just recently. Could be a V8 American job (Love the sound and presence), a little Italian Lancia Fulvia or a VW Karman Ghia. Decisions decisions!

All the best bud, your input has always been valued.

As you know there are no rules about popping up and saying hello on here, just because she's gone, the knowledge won't have.

Take care and there is always a seat free if you fancy one of them there trips

Hi Andy, one or two fond memories; it has always been fun! Keen to know whether you go big brash American or cute curvy Italian! Might follow you down that same route sometime. Good luck with whatever you do, I am sure it will be an intelligent decision

Thanks for your kind words guys!

If I get afloat again in the future it'll definitely be a fishing type boat but a fast one like a Pirate 21

Ian, when the summer comes we'll go out for a pint in the Forest in whatever I buy (providing it's reliable).

Just an update for those of you that are interested.

After looking for a car to buy all year, I have finally taken the plunge and bought an old American Pick-up truck.

It's a 67 Chevrolet C10 (so nearly as old as me) and is going to be a work in progress. But I'm pleased to say that she's on the road and being driven.

Smart

On a point of interest - which is thirster - the Chevvy or Blue Venom??

I'm sure you'll do a cracking job of making her even more eye-catching.
