The best looking rib ever made?
Over the years I have often looked at the Red bay web page ( and dreamt that I won the lotto). I allways thought that their ribs looked ok but a bit agricultural (see protector or shearwater for a good looking rib) , that was until this afternoon. I believe that this is one of the best looking ribs that I have ever laid eyes on.

How big of a lotto win would you need for such a rib?

Modesty almost prevents me from agreeing with you
She is the lastest Spawn of The Beast. The hull has been tweaked a couple of times since #1 and the console is #5 of what I like to refer to as the Endurance Console. I approached Redbay back in 2012 about building a new console for me and fortuitously they had been contemplating such a thing themselves. A win for me as the plug was built to suit missus willk and I personally although I had mine shortened in the sides a touch to maintain easy access to the water. I haven't had a chance to drive A-D yet but I live in hope (that's a hint Tom). She seems to have the poke of The Beast and the creature comfort of the willkcraft, so I suspect she'll be legend over a snotty day at sea. No meaningful idea of what she would cost (but lots). Couple of pics of the console in build:

I get the feeling that an error has crept into this thread as the title should really read:
The best ever looking rib ever made by Redbay.
Some of you guys have probably never been down to the Solent on a nice day as there a loads of stunning ribs around

As ever, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. As much as I'm a Ribcraft fanboy, I would never describe them as "pretty". Purposeful, rugged maybe, but never pretty. (A bit like me really[emoji6]) But then I'm more the 4x4 type rather than MX5.

The 29 Sport is a beautiful looking boat. Even the dreadnought bow.

For me it is a case of form follows function. I prefer looking at an Atlantic 85 over a 8.5m 'sports' RIB.
I've nothing against 'sports' RIB but it doesn't float my boat.

"Handsome is as Handsome does" Springs to mind!
When you're out in a Gale and need make passage to find shelter.....how asteticly pleasing you're RIB looks (or not)...to other people mainly!..will defiantly be WAY DOWN you're list of Priorities!
The Sea is not the Open Road!...or indeed even Off Road where you can always pull over/Park up ...break out the Thermos ..and ring the AA or the wife.
A lot of people Do LIKE the look of 4x4's...AND also of A well founded/made and purposefully built capable RIB!
Good looks and a Capable Performance are not mutually exclusive in my opinion
