The Duology Concept

Please follow this link

http://www.geocities.com/pduology

Mr Poh (the creator of this concept) has written to one of the news groups I am a member and got some very nasty replies.
The point is that the guy only asked if this concept will be of interest to anyone nothing else.
He also says that this hull concept can be adapted to accomodate pontoons (inflatable sections) and I would be very much interested if any one has an opinion on this concept.
If there is a responce and people like to talk about it on final round will give you the opinion of a Naval Architect (friend of mine), my comments and the responce we got from Mr Poh.

Do you think maybe that some of these "nasty replies" may be because he is asking for a MINIMUM of US$45 million !!!! for the design alone????
Anyway, isnt he a bit late? Charles wheel on the Husycat!

I agree with you 100% the price is ...... better not to say.
However, irrespective of the price what do you think. The guy says that is not a Cat but a Monohul design?? (looks like in between. Doesn't it??)
That is goes VERY FAST, can handle big waves better than a monohul, is steady on turns and in rough sea conditions.
Well I have my own opinion but what do people think about this concept. Mr Poh believes that is unique??
IS IT??

Well I'm sorry Manos, my friend Malan has been working on this concept for the past 18 years, and if you read the technical gumf on Mr Poh's hull, the Hysucat does exactly this and more. He is just re-inventing the wheel!

I agree with you.
As I had originaly said, I had this checked this design by our Naval Architect in SAfrica and he more or less said the same thing. We also are under the impression that this boat hull may not perform as well as other hulls in bad weather conditions. I believe that the data Mr Poh has is only on paper and they have not even tested it in a tank yet.
Any way later on today will post our comments and the reply we received from Mr Poh.

The first thing he could do if he wants any chance of being taken seriously is to ditch Geocities and invest a tenner in a domain name!
