Filming will be on either Monday or Tuesday next week and they want to interview some of you lot too.

Looks like I'll be off to Biffs to clean the workshop up a bit incase they want to film where the Macrib was built? I haven't spoken to ITV, Mrs W is doing all that.

All I can do is tell them what you lot did and how we did it.

If you know or were involved in our fundraising and want to be on TV then Please can you let me know.

Thanks

Yes hoping to come on down, I can scrounge a couple of wheels off Biff lol

Hmmm an auction full of courses and more for the mac fund, awesome!! How about we try and run it on both rhibs and ribnet

We have succeeded in securing various gifts but I'd love anyone reading this who is in the position to help donate a pb2 Course or the like to contact whisper and we will Co ordinate this onto rhibs too,

No one should face the spectre of cancer alone and this is our shot at making a difference to those that need it the most

Lots of people have stepped up and out the shadows this year to be counted to try and make a difference, I have got involved and heard tales that made me cry with sorrow and tales that made me smile from cheek to cheek, proud to be a part of the journey

It's a great story, and I hope it doesn't get tainted by the spats between here and the FB group. I look at both groups, enjoy both, and feel no animosity towards either, I am sure many others feel the same way. Very well done to those involved in the whole thing - my step daughter spent well over a year living away from home being treated for cancer, so I fully understand the value of Macmillan who are absolutely brilliant.

I think we got quite a few nominations for this and after the closing date all these stories where whittled down to just 4 per region! We are one of those 4 finalists for the Southwest Region!

ITV contacted Mrs W as she also put in a nomination after seeing it on here and Facebook.

I went down to Biffs on Sat and helped clean the workshop over the weekend as they wanted to film where the Macrib was built.

We did our film on Monday and everyone that turned up was interviewed, it was quite an emotionally draining day and it was raining. Lots go on behind the scenes in all this fundraising and it can get quite emotional so I didn't want to hear what people were saying so we were all interviewed on our own.

So the 4 finalists films will be shown one per day on the ITV 6 o'clock news week commencing 7th September, so Mon to Thrus will be a film per day and the winner will be announced on Friday 11th Sept on ITV. This is happening all over the country in your areas too.

The winner from each region will then go to the Pride of Britain Awards where the national winner will be announced... Pride of Britain Fundraiser of the year.

It's on tonight on the 6 O'clock ITV news the region is West Country (east) which covers Bath and Bristol etc.

ITV are sending me a copy after it's been aired tonight.

I've worked out how to record on my TV using a HDD but apparently I can't upload it onto the internet.

I'm hoping that someone else can record it but if you are not watching the correct region on your TV then you will see a different film form your area.

If you're using a Humax box you can copy it to a USB stick as long as it's not in HD.

Your local station is not on our TV. Can somebody please record the program so we can all enjoy it. Many thanks.

Whisper, we have our fingers crossed. Best of luck

I'll record it on my TV, then video the program on my iPad and put it on here by about 7pm.

When ITV send me the footage I'll upload the HD version.
