The Season is not over

In my opinion many people put their boating stuff away far to early. In late Autumn and early winter the sea temp is still quite high and there can be some lovely weather and excellent boating. Below is a little video of our early Autum 2024 trip out in the Rib

Good you are still lucky enough to be getting out Dennis, and nice to see the different sib/rib areas you visit.

We did manage a hours out a few weekends ago to Stonehaven and Dunnottar castle via the sea, but the weather was rather rubbish and there was a cold, damp drizzle all day.

I’ve now got a couple of weeks off, but it hasn’t been a good start with high winds and heavy rain, and the poor availability of rather unwilling crew!

I agree with you Dennis, if you have the opportunity to get out on the water like I have, it's to early to be packing stuff away.
I fully intend going out in the winter, hopefully on a sunny, freezing cold, frosty day when there's snow on the hills, Windermere will be empty then!

That is our plane also. The key is warm cloths or possibly a dry suit but above all the I am going to do this attitude and not be put off
