It was meant to be super fast and undetectable to radar for cartain reasons, I don't think it was either and never made it to the customer.
Its on here somewhere?

Crompton did some great boats - sold them to the goodies and the baddies!!!



Here is a little one with only 4 engines - nice cargo.............

And here is one of the proper beasts in action - I think they used a Land Rover for the cabin - my ideal mixture.

British engineering at it's best!!!

for the info. anyone have any word on how fast it really was/is? If a second prop adds only 50%, a third must be a tad less, and .... an 8th?

Look more like V6s to me but the photo is very bad.

I used to wonder about the sense of this - 2 big diesels would be a better bet - until someone pointed out it would take a lot of shots to knock out all 8 engines!!!

in the 80's OMC made a v8 2 stroke, never really took off, i wonder why... (li per hour prehaps!!)

They were 300hp as standard but many racing ones were 400 or even 450hp. They thrived on very high revs and lots of petrol!!!
