Kim forgot to say that it's a Revenger 25, currently going for next to no money at all, albeit with an old-tec Yamaha 150 outboard.

it's all relative...

I guarantee you'll spend more on a (new?) 6.5m Ribeye/Ribtec that we spent on our 7-year old Scorpion.

Second time around for that Revenger, they were asking £12.500 last time and had no takers.

Does look a good bargin if the price doesn't run away in the last few minutes.

Come on, some one must know something about this one?
I would have thought it is worth £17,500 to 20,000 or am I mad?
Very tempting

Well, remember that an auction defines the value of an item - it will go for as much as anyone's prepared to pay for it.

It's a 6year old 7.5m RIB from a reputable manufacturer, with a carburetted 2-stroke that's of modest power for the boat and will be a bit thirsty. Fuel tank's a decent size, but it won't have a great range with that old engine. £15-16k I reckon, as long as boat, engine and trailer are in very good condition. An A-frame could cost you the thick end of £500 and a full trailer service as much again (4-wheels). Simple steering problems can also similarly eat away large wads of cash.

I would have thought that this would be a better boat: http://www.rib.net/forum/showthread.php?t=4762
Ok it doesn't sound as glamarous as a Revenger, but I reckon it would go just as well and it's a lot newer.

(You weren't going to bid on it without a sea trial were you?)
