Throw Line / Throw Rope Safety Warning - MAIB

Been away a few days - but don't think I've missed a post on here about this.

MAIB has issued a safety alert about rescue throw lines that are faulty. It appears some have been made by welding 2 or more pieces of shorter rope together that then break when placed under strain (such as pulling a casualty in!)

Details here: https://assets.publishing.service.go...a/SB2_2018.pdf

MAIB asking everyone with one (and I'd guess there are a fair few ribbers who have them) - from any brand - to check them and if they find an issue to take it up with manufacturer/supplier but also to notify MAIB.

The full report on this is now out:

Nothing much different from the original safety briefing.
