Oi John, I categorically do NOT have smelly socks! As for this weekend I'm afraid I won't be able to make it as I have this report to write. Thanks for all the kind offers though. As for Ventnor, I'm getting more and more keen to attend this now!

As far as student drinking goes, I'm an old guffer now, can't drink like I used to, although I am good at drinking games....ask Martin

Safety!

What is the safety like this year on the Thundercat Championship? Did someone not get really hurt last year?

To The Dentist.... Actually Thundercats have had no major injuries, just a couple of broken ribs and that wasn't in the race.... You're mixing us up with either Jersey Powerboat Club - Thunderducks, where unfortunately there was a fatal racing accident last year or Zap Cats that have numerous non fatal injuries.

Although we are still young as a series in the UK, the people involved have been in the sport for many years and safety is paramount at any race or event organised by us.

As the organiser and motherer to all who race within our community I try my hardest to secure the safety of the guys whilst they race - thats the best I can offer and hope that this year will see safe, competative yet fun racing within all classes of powerboat racing - May everyone have a good season!

Oh and if there are Guys and Girls wanting a seasons racing, I have some guys who are seeking Co-Pilots

May everyone have a good weekend

Best regards

Fiona

P.S Jackeen - Must have a drink soon!! Going to organise a big Poker Run party weekend on August 20th weekend around the Solent!! Keep the weekend free!

Poker Run during Saturday, Party on the Saturday night at the Boat House, Fort Victoria, Yarmouth - right on the beach, where people can moor in front, smaller boats can be brought up on the beach or otherwise book the night into Yarmouth - Marquee, Band, D.J, good food and party time!!
Sunday will be Hang-over special - Greasie breakfast, water-skiing, wake boarding, sit round chilling, watching the fools fall off - what ever you want. Sunday Lunch and then return home.

Thanks to Caroline Reed-Sampson for her fantastic cooperation helping to organise this event and also runs the Boat House.

Details of where the BoatHouse cafe is situated, can be found here.......

http://www.streetmap.co.uk/newmap.sr...34255&ay=89667

The cafe is situated next to the 'OLD' pier and close to the 'SCONCE' Cardinal mark.

John.
